Amicus Spaces's profile

M&C Saatchi - Sydney

In early 2020, M&C Saatchi engaged with Amicus to help support them throughout their entire journey of their workplace transformation. Several key pressing factors including a lease expiration looming and a significant need for workplace strategy and direction and meant that a solution needed to be devised. Amicus collaborated with M&C Saatchi through staff survey analysis and leadership depth interviews to deliver a workplace strategy solution which mapped out their requirement.

Once the goals of the space and strategy was established, Amicus collaborated with design partner Woods Baggot to develop a contemporary and distinct working space that drew inspiration and complemented the heritage listed building and materials.
The Amicus Delivery team worked closely with a heritage consultant to ensure that the structure was protected during construction.

Each space was meticulously crafted with synchronicity in colour palette, furniture and functioning technology to bring about invigorating and inspiring spaces that allows staff to utilise each space in a multitude of ways. From the main atrium featuring a statement staircase, to a dynamic break room, to the sleek and bold meeting rooms - the entire fit out aims to cater to the work flow of M&C Saatchi as a holistic team, and suiting their needs as a culture and as a business.

From the start of the process, the Amicus Technology team was involved to ensure that modern and functioning technology was considered and implemented throughout the entire design build process. This allowed for technology to be a core pillar in the M&C Saatchi's workplace strategy and meeting the needs of their hybrid working model.

Meeting rooms are VC enabled with premium microphones and comeras to provide an equitable meeting experience for all attendees. Creative spaces are equipped with intuitive digital whiteboards which can be drawn on and erased with the wipe of a hand. A digital booking system allows staff to simply book the space they need from their email calendar.

Amicus was able to provide a workplace strategy as well as a smooth project delivery that was aided by Amicus' integrated services model, Keychain. The Keychain approach meant that the goals of the space and aims of the strategy were defined from the outset, transparently implemented through the early concept design phases and communicated to M&C Saatchi. Through all of the planning and implementation, Amicus was able to help M&C Saatchi save $20 million over the next 10 years. Their office is now a haven of collaboration designed and built to cater to their unique working style needs and enabling the creativity, innovation and connection of their culture.
